The Escape Pod’s sizzle reel isn’t like other sizzle reels. Likely because The Escape Pod is not like other agencies, stuck in some lame 20th century paradigm.
Vinny Warren, partner in the Chicago agency, says The Escape Pod is an “advertising agency of the present.” Clearly, they have a finger on the zeitgeist, which you can see in the Reality TV sensibility on display in much of the shop’s work.

Direct marketing on television sucks an egg, but not anymore. Now that Wieden+Kennedy is doing it, it’s grrrrrrrrrrreat.
In all seriousness, I want this product encasement system. And because I do, I have to give it to Old Spice and the geniuses at W+K/Portland. Because this is a new product that people like me are actually going to buy, and that kicks another funny ad in the nuts. It’s a funny ad that sells!

According to Trend Hunter, Samsung and social media agency Jam teamed up to promote the Samsung Galaxy Note, a smartphone-tablet hybrid device with an advanced ‘S’ pen that allows for detailed drawings and sketches.
The “Create My Tweet” campaign features illustrators Rose Stallard, Steven Wilson, Danny Sangra and Natasha Lawill.

I like the campaign, and I like the product the campaign is promoting, although I’ve recently been advised to steer away from Samsung handsets.
